Print Lab Australia provides Professional Development workshops for primary and high school teachers introducing a range of printmaking techniques such as linocut, paper lithography, mokulito (wood lithography), woodcut, drypoint, chine collé, and etching. We teach only non-toxic techniques suitable for beginners and more advanced participants. We tailor our program to the Australian National Curriculum and include advice on developing a dynamic art class syllabus, improving visual literacy and how the learned skills can be used across different curriculums.
In addition, participants will learn how:
PD participants will gain practical skills and broaden their knowledge about the art industry. Each participant will be awarded a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the PD.

- teach printmaking with limited facilities

- hands on skills (including demonstration of the process and your own practice)
- managing classroom activities (proper class set up, effective ways of teaching the process)
- maintaining students safety - teaching the correct techniques and safe use of printmaking tools
- materials brands and suppliers (we will provide you with a list of suppliers)
- differentiation to meet the specific learning needs of students across the full range of abilities
- ideas for lesson plans
- guidance on artists and artworks to use for visual analysis of specific techniques
